Proverbs 16:5
The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.

Proverbs 16:18
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:19
Better to be lowly in spirit along with the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.

Proverbs 18:12
Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

Proverbs 21:4
Haughty eyes and a proud heart— the unplowed field of the wicked—produce sin.

Proverbs 21:24
The proud and arrogant person—“Mocker” is his name— behaves with insolent fury.

Proverbs 25:27
It is not good to eat too much honey, nor is it honorable to search out matters that are too deep.

Do you see a person wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them.

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves.

    Our love for attention has led most of us in the path of pride. We workout to look better and also to feel that we are better than others. This generation needs to cut out pride to make it a secure world to live in. Jesus is the answer.
